Leeds man Andy Halstead makes his debut on 33Throwdown with an electrofunk floor filling ep. Andy is better known for his releases on the Freddy Fresh label Howlin’ and is a true old schooler.
This ep could not be more highly recommended and featured in one of the last John Peel Sessions on BBC Radio 1FM with a massive response. At last here is the chance to own these amazing cuts.
Paying tribute to the true classic electro styles with the 808 boomin and vocoder licks aplenty on the 2 electro tracks ‘LuvvBugg’ and ‘You Like It’. The B2 tune has a much tougher and darker feel adding a punchy break to get you uprockin’. ‘Yeah,Yeah,Yeah’ adds a funky flavour and is sure to be big on the dancefloor with the big schooly reverb breakbeat it grooves along with a nive summer vibe. ‘Drumbeat’ ends this ep with in yer face breaks and stabs, no messin around here!
